Charlotte Harbor National Golf Club (formerly known as Bobcat Trail Golf Club), also known simply as "the Cat," has been considered one of Sarasota County's best courses since it opened in 1998. Each hole on this lengthy par-71 layout offers a risk-reward opportunity. This thought-provoking course requires careful course management, proper club selection, and sharp short game skills. The large greens are fast and undulating and bunkers are strategically placed throughout. There are also several water hazards that come into play. Not only does each hole offer a unique challenge, they all offer beautiful scenery with a different eye-catching feature on each. Golfers will be sure to encounter some of the abundant wildlife that inhabits the golf course including foxes, gators, hawks and osprey. The club's staff claims that any of the 18 holes could be considered a signature hole.

Very Poor Condition
I had played this course before and condition was never great but this last time playing it the course is is bad shape, hardly no grass on the fairways and the greens are the worst greens I've played all winter down here in Florida. The course needs a lot of TLC to bring it back. Will not be back to play this course anytime soon, I am surprised they are still playing on this course due to its condition.
Course Maintenance?
Greens and fairways we're playable but could use some standard maintenance like water and aeration.
Crying out for water
I thought it was a shame to see the coarse in such bad condition. It was one of the nicest coarsest around a few years back.. it appears to be getting lots of play and the price to play is not reflected in the condition.. hopefully something good will happen. Golf is supposed to be play on grass not dirt.. I wish I could leave a better review
Please water me
We have played six times this month. Greens are really dry and burned out. They started to green alitlle when we had a couple of rains. Now they are getting brown and bumpy again. Good track just needs some water. Pace is usually slow. Hospitality cart girl is great! The main reason we play here is proximity to our house
I can't condemn the superintedant, I don't know what he has to work with.
Comfortable
Very nice golf course. Not sure why the pin placements were that difficult on a Tuesday afternoon. It only serves to slow the pace of play for medium and high handicap players.

I'm not sure what has happened I've been playing this course for about 5 years and this year was horriable conditions looks like the course hasn't been watered in about month the greens were horriable bumpy Hope's everywhere.. the owners of this course should be ashamed at the selves for charging $48. For this crap. Seems like they are going bankrupt...
Bad shape
Difficult to find grass even on fairways. Greens fairly good.
