Plantation Palms Golf Club
About
Plantation Palms Golf Club, designed by David Harman, provides every Tampa golfer with a challenging and rewarding golf experience. The links-style design starts with a welcoming par 5, and then slowly steps up with a mixture of strong par 3s. Just 10 minutes north of Tampa, this course was carved a 400-acre citrus grove that slopes from west to east, providing interesting elevation changes. Water is in play on 17 of 18 holes. Plantation Palms Golf Club has an attractive framing of greens by the use of pine trees, water and large snow-white sand traps. The true-rolling elevated greens have good movement and are a challenge for golfers.

Great place.
Excellent customer service from ranger, wait staff, pro shop and all involved.
They made our visit extremely enjoyable.
Course was a fair challenge.
Can't wait to return.
Great Customer Service
New GM and management have really turned this course around. It has a great value for the price and the course is in very good shape. There are some challenges, but not due to poor condition.
On top of that the GM (Jesse) took very good care of my friends and Myself. Jesse during non work hours processed my application and was able to honor our new membership and got us booked on the sister course (which is also a great value).
For other courses in Flordia that can cost $100+ Both of these courses can stand alone on value. $49 a month all you can golf after 1/2pm and just pay for cart pays for itself after just one round a month. On top of that for them to not nickel and dime us during a time where everyone is going cheap and charging more was very refreshing. Also, the food and prices for food at mulligans is top notch. 100% must play
Great Track
First time for me, playing this course (19 HC), my husband has played a
It one other time. (6HC). It was in good shape, considering how much play it apparently gets. Many fairways were super plush. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were all in decent shape. Starter but no Marshall however, our round went smoothly with no problem and no hold ups. Cart girl available and made several rounds. Nice pro shop and nice restaurant. Range and putting practice area available and small putt putt course on site. Really nice GPS in newer comfy carts. I think our cart was super charged! Overall, it was a great day, and a great round with a local member as our third.
Need Rangers
Played mid day mid week and it still look literally 3 hours to the minute to finish 10 holes. Unreal. Place is so busy, pay a ranger to actually do something and keep the course moving. We all like to play but don’t want to be out there for 5+ hours.
Good course, well maintained, will play again.
My wife and I played golf at Plantation Palms this Monday 2/20/23. Course was in good shape and pace of play was decent considering how busy it was that day. Carts are newer gas carts and have GPS which is helpful. I thought it was a little pricey but all golf in FL in the winter is pricey. Well worth the money and they are doing a good job over there at Plantation Palms!
Good condition, really bad layout
Over all this is not really a bad course. But I play a lot of golf, and I hate courses that just go up and back. Multiple holes with 2 tee boxes, 3 fairways all lining each other, greens and tee boxes behind screens. The condition of the course is good. The greens need to be rolled and don’t play very true. Bouncing balls are hard to read. But if you like easy, back and forth courses where you can’t loose a lot of balls, play this one. One tee box is basically on a busy street corner. I just prefer more open courses.
My review
Nice track overall, good conditions, friendly staff, enjoyed the round.
Amazing Improvement!
I played the course in early August 2022 and I would have given it 2 stars. No grass on the fairways, greens fast but not good and inconsistent. Yesterday the golf course was in very good condition,. Greens consistent, maybe 9 on the stimp, and smooth. Fairways while firm with tight lies were consistent with enough overseed that made it very playable. Bunkers much improved, although the green side one on 18 was extremely wet with very little sand and unplayable. Course has always been one of the best layouts in Tampa Bay, but with so many changes in ownership over the past 12-15 years, and little attention to conditions it was avoided by the avid golfers. Absolutely no reason this shouldn’t be a top 10 public course. Great course, great clubhouse, great location. Keep up the good work!

The course is is good shape and it is a challenging course. The par 3's are very challenging on this course. The price recently has been too much before the value, but welcome to florida during the winter months.
