Scotland Yards Golf Club
About
Scotland Yards Golf Club, as its name implies, has a traditional links-style layout that is reminiscent of the traditional links courses of England and Scotland. It offers the experience of classic Scottish golf with the convenient of being only 20 miles north of Tampa. The golf course tumbles across the gently rolling hills of west central Florida. The course plays long and it features wildly undulating greens that require tremendous accuracy. True to its links nature, there is little water but there are plenty of pot bunkers treacherously lurking throughout. The signature hole is the par-5 second. At 554 yards, it is the longest hole on the course and it is only rarely reached in two. The demanding third shot is uphill to a green that is fiercely guarded in front by two massive mounds and pot bunkers.

Great layout
Surprisingly fun layout and course. Conditions are just ok. Not horrible. Some greens with patching or crab grass. Most of the tee boxes were overseeded and not cut. But some fun elevation where you don't see that often. Fun course
Needs lots of TLC
You can see they are trying to improve the course, but it still needs work. Fairways have so much crabgrass. Maybe if they water it more often and hire a good grounds keeper it will be better. We played this course years ago and it was much better back in the day.
Love this place
One of our favorite courses but, being permanent residents, the $40 dollars per round is a little more than we can afford. So, I guess we'll see you next summer when it's hot, all the snowbirds are gone and you need our money. Keep up the good work.
Great value
Course is in good shape, and I would add great shape for the price. Holes have been freshly cut and overall neat layout. You will enjoy.
Pace of play
The course is in really nice shape not much to complain about in that regard but there is NO starter out there so you can get jumped on your tee time and there are NO rangers on the course making sure pace of play is being maintained. First 11 holes took almost 3 1/2 hours to complete before we just jumped the group in front of us who would not let us play through.
enjoyable round
A few minor areas like wet traps and some weeds on the greens and fairways need to be improved, but other than that the course has really been upgraded.
Never lets me down!
Scotland Yards is a great course, I love playing the links style, and this course has a great layout! We didn’t see another person on the course, so the pace was as fast or slow as my group wanted it to be. The weather was absolutely perfect, the greens were rolling great, a couple tee boxes were a bit shaggy, but plenty of good grass to tee it up on! I have played here a handful of times, I live in Riverview so it’s a bit of a drive, but every time I leave Scotland Yards I am glad I made the trip. It was one of my playing partners first time, and he already wants to play it again! We will be back!
Great Value Course
I got a value deal of $20 per tee time. When we got to the course, the location was nice, No driving range was a slight negative, but nice putting green. We were able to head right out at 10:12am. The tee boxes were a little shaggy, but definitely playable. Fairways had grass, which is nice. Greens were a little rough, but overall very puttable. Front nine was wide open, back nine more challenging. For the price we paid, I would say it is a great value. We finished our round at 1:15pm, so a 3 hour round is outstanding. We never saw anyone in front of us and saw one group behind us for 2 or 3 holes.
Should have played Bernadette
Course was a nightmare to navigate. Uneven and unpaved cart paths. Did not have an enjoyable experience with this course. Carts were sluggish to the point where you could throw your back out if not careful. The only positive I can say that greens were contoured making putting challenging.
