Championship at Seven Springs Country Club
About
Seven Springs Country Club offers two golf courses, the Championship and an executive course. Located in New Port Richey, the courses are just minutes away from Tampa Bay and the scenic Gulf of Mexico beaches. The Championship Course offers a challenge for players of all skill levels, especially if it's a windy day. There are a few bunkers scattered along the greensides but water is the most prominent hazard. There are numerous lakes and ponds throughout that come into play on almost every hole. Towering pines and cypress trees also frame most of the holes. Thanks to the challenging layout, lush fairways, and manicured greens, the golf course has earned the reputation of being one of Pasco County's best. Seven Springs also offers a practice facility with an excellently conditioned driving range with four target greens and a hitting area that is 300 yards in length.

What a charming golf course. Very friendly too.
We had a very nice round and this represented good pricing with Golf Now. Well satisfied.
Aerified greens rate
Greens not really a issue, fairways not the best on front 9, better on the back
Should get real maintenance supervisor.
Throwing sand on greens after punching is a good idea if the crew is smart enough to sweep it in before watering. Obviously, no one thought of that at this course.
review
The Champions Course at Seven Springs is always in fine condition and an enjoyable tract to play. However, there is lots of water hazards and some tight fairways to negotiate. It helps to drive a straight ball....the greens are nice and smooth and pretty fast. Fairways cut close but narrow in some spots......looking forward to returning there again soon.....
dont get a chanch to play here often but, I got a really good price for the round. the course was in great shape considering the airating season. the fairways were in great shape for the most part'. love to go back.
Slow
The course conditions are very good. Greens and fairways in top condition. No beerage cart. Ice and water machine available at club house. The staff were friendly. Two problems. First, the tee times are stacked 8 minutes apart to maximize profit. This caused very slow ply. Our round was just over five hours. Waited on each tee box. Waited on each fairway. Waited on each green. Hard to stay loose for the next shot with a 15 minute wait. But hey, at least the course made a little more money. Second problem. While waiting to make approach shot to 12th green, two carts with four guys roll up next to the green, take balls out of their pockets, drop on the green and begin playing. They did not play our fairway. I approached and advised they might be on the wrong green. Their reply," We play here all the time, we know what we're doing". Two holes later I flag down a Ranger and give a full account. He goes and confronts them. Ends up shaking hands with them , driving off ,and letting them continue to play infront of us. The Ranger did not say a word to us about it even when he followed us in on 17 and 18. All I ccan think of is that foursome were members. So If you really like slow play and enjoy members being allowed to make your round even worse, play Seven Springs.
Nice place to visit
Fun course we’ll maintained all around very nice place friendly staff
Fun course to play
I always enjoy Seven Springs. The golf course offers challenges on every hole. Greens were in very good shape and pace of play was excellent. Highly recommend. You will definitely see a gator or two.
Good course, Bad starter/ranger
The course is a good course but the starter who was sitting at the starting point was a real wiseguy when I tried cracking a joke on a errant shot to #10 green. I did not appreciate his comment "so, THAT'S what it was?" when I said the errant shot was "remnants from Friday night". He said it in a way that made him seem like he was the "best golfer ever". Then, when our foursome were clearing #10 green, the course ranger waited for us and said "guys, you need to pick up the pace. Also, the starter back there radioed to me that he didn't tell you guys to pick up the pace because he didn't have the balls to yell you. But I will." Our foursome said and pointed out there weren't any golfers waiting on us and I said "I had the balls to stop and use the restroom at the turn.". I think this entire line of communication between golf course staff and golfers was completely uncalled for. My friends and myself have decided to not bring our business back to this golf course going forward. Seven Springs Golf and Country Club cannot afford the word of mouth advertising I'm going to provide for them.
Great course
This is a great course - fun and challenging. Some areas need attention on and near fairways, but it seems the staff are always looking to improve the conditions. The course has some large 🐊 and a huge bird island on the water between #3 and #9. Great view of several holes from the green of #12. Well worth the play.
Starter was a power hungry jerk
The starter totally ruined the round for two ladies, my wife, and myself. We were the last players out there for late afternoon golf. He forced us to play together when it really was unnecessary. We play from the further back and he had the ladies hide under trees. Then when we caught up to them, they asked us to play through. Of course the big man flew down with his cart to make sure we played together. I was angry and said things I regret so he then threatened to throw us off the course. Thank you seven springs for a wonderful time. Maybe it was because we booked thru Tee Off.
Great value
Good course for the money, but I missed my 1126 tee time and was told no problem for being 2 hours late, I’m very grateful
