Silverado Golf & Country Club
About
Silverado Golf & Country Club is situated just north of Tampa in scenic Zephyrhills. It is a par-71 layout but for low handicappers, it can be extended to a par 72 by turning the lengthy 10th hole into a challenging par 4. The area's natural beauty is defined by the mature oaks that date back over 100 years and the abundant wildlife, including red tail hawks, geese, and foxes. The landscape provides an excellent round of golf, which is further enhanced by the year-round temperate climate. Bunkers treacherously lurk throughout and the occasional water hazard also comes into play. The golf course offers some challenging holes but overall, it is approachable for a range of skill levels. Silverado finishes with a par 4 that requires a difficult carry in order to make it past the pond in the middle of the fairway. Those who strategize carefully will be rewarded with a birdie.

The poor man’s country club.”In a good way.”
The maintenance of this course is on par with much more expensive courses in the area. The clubhouse is what you’d expect, but the food is amazing. The driving range is natural grass though I’d like to see more yardage markers, but all in all for the price, it can’t be beat. That’s why it’s always busy.
Slowest greens around and the pace of play is even slower
They need to group tee times better. I’m pretty sure there was supposed to be someone with me but with no starter they just kinda let everybody do whatever they want. Also the restaurant is slow and they boasted their new menu. I didn’t get something “new” just got chicken tenders which they were like all completely different types and textures but frozen not fresh for sure and one tasted like freezer burn. Horrible… I’d love my money back but probably won’t happen. Also the tee boxes are cut taller than the rough and the greens are slower than the fairways
Affordable Well Kept Course
Only down side I felt was we were waiting on every hole. Pace of play needed to be increased.
Overall really nice course and amazing bang for the buck
Comfortable course to play
Very friendly people and not a lot of pressure from others
Silverado golf course
Haven’t played this course for maybe 10 years. It wasn’t real good then but it’s worse now. Cart paths are non existent or rough like a rocky road and gullies. Greens were decent but tee boxes were left in one position too long and were dirt or mud on many of them. Rough is “rough” and fairways are thin. Won’t play there again
Fair
Greens in good shape but a little slow, pace of play was good! Tee boxes average fairways a little thin on grass
