Walden Lakes Golf & Country Club offers two championship courses, the Lakes and the Hills. Both courses enjoy a scenic landscape and tropical climate that allows for playable conditions year-round. The Lakes Course is characterized by the beautiful Walden Lake. Water is naturally a prominent feature throughout the golf course, coming into play on nearly every hole. The fairways are lined with mature trees and the undulating greens are bordered by strategically placed bunkers. The layout is a demanding but fair test. Four sets of tees offer a variety of challenges that will appeal to a range of different skill levels. One of the trickiest holes is the par-3 eighth, which is not long but features a double-tiered green that is surrounded by water and three sand traps.

fairways were horrible.Greens for most part okay.will never go there again even if its free.

I have played this course quite a few times but it seems to be going downhill.
Fairways are pretty sparse and finding a good lie is often a matter of luck.
Hole layouts are interesting but I"m not a big fan of trees in the middle of fairways.
I hope the recent over-seeding of the fairways will help will help.

THIS USE TO BE A GREAT PLACE WITH 2 GOLF COURSES. NOW JUST ONE COURSE AND IT'S PITFUL. LAST YEAR WAS BAD BUT THIS YEAR IS WORST. PAID $20. WITH THE FEES AND IT'S NOT WORTH IT. iT'S OFF MY LIST
Needs help
Played this course because a friend lives out there. This place is in dire need of a makeover. One of the courses is closed and looks like a cow pasture. The one that's open isn't much better. A few greens need to be dug up and totally rebuilt. The fairways are dirt and weeds and the the tee boxes are diseased. The one good thing is the pace of play because nobody wants to play there. Someone please put money into this place. It's a tough layout that could be a really good course.

Greens were the only thing that resembled golf , rest of the course requires a shepherd. Tough shape. Shame ,used to be one of the fun relatively inexpensive tracks.
The green are amazing and fast and roll true
Not happy with the course conditions, fairways not much Bermuda grass and the back 9 is not worth playing on, this is a $15 course max, I love the layout and normally great condition but recently played and ver disappointed, the friendly staff did discount our round, so we were happy but I rather pay more and play on a well manicured course, walden Lake please step your game up!
What a rip-off
The course is in bad shape. The fairways "if that is what you call them" look like cow pastures. Tee boxes are dirt and sand. Greens OK. The course needs years of work and money.

Lakes Course. 1PM tee time w/ buddy. Longer than Hills course. Fun layout. Some unique holes. Has wide landing areas for tee shots. Tee boxes/fairways sparse. Roughs high enough to lose errant balls, slowing pace down. Elevated greens that are medium fast. Both this course & Hills course need more distance markers also. Slows pace down having to look for the distance. At least poles @ 100, 150, 200 yard positions would greatly help. Will play again but for a really good Hot Deal price only.
What happened
Used to play this course when it was a lush 36 hole complex. So sad to see it now.
