Westchase Golf Club
About
Designed by Lloyd Clifton, Westchase winds through acres of lakes, conservation areas and forest. It offers manicured greens surrounded by natural wetlands, wooden bridges and bulkheads. With its 9,500 sq. ft. clubhouse, full-service dining room, and fully stocked pro shop, Westchase offers a country club atmosphere along with first-class service. The golf club has established itself as one of Tampa Bay's best upscale golf facilities. The front nine meander through an impressive pine forest. The back nine -- which is demanding on the tee shot -- features lakes, wetlands and cypress. Strategically placed bunkers, more sparkling lakes and stands of cypress, oak, palmetto and pine frame the fairways and greens. Signature Hole No. 3, at 212 yards from the back tee, is all you can handle -- It's a Par 3 all-carry over water from the back tee!

Westchase Rules
Really enjoy this course, even though it is a course through housing, the houses are well off the course and many have landscaping between the course and homes. Wonderful layout, friendly staff, great pro shop and well maintained course.
Westchase above average
Not a 5 star but one of the better courses in this area. Course conditions are good. Staff is very friendly and warm up area. Greens a little bumpy but fast
Good course, good pace
Course in good condition. Not visited in 6 years but not much seemed to have changed. Played as a 2 ball. Got round the first 9 with little hold up. Let 2 ball through on 10 and then seemed to be waiting on the 2 ball in front of them, who we'd not seen before 10, for rest of round. Greens good considering.
Great experience.
From the arrival to departure, everything about this course is top rate. The staff knows why they are there, course in great shape and priced fairly. I travel to Tampa 3x per year and will always make this a stop. Thanks team.
Westchase good again.
Always a good course. Decent shape from tee to green. Greens a little bumpy but overall in good shape. Aqua driving range and putting/ chipping areas. We teed off at 7:20 and finished in 3 hours ina Saturday so that was great.
Good course to test your game
Have played this course many times up to about 2 years ago. It was always reasonably priced and it good shape.
The good news is that it is still in pretty good shape. A couple of the tee boxes need work, and some of the greens were bumpy. Plus for whatever reason players insist on throwing their empty beer cans everywhere but the trash containers. What a shame.
The bad news is that the course owners have decided that this is an "upscale" course and the green fees have more than doubled. We paid $44 on golf now for a 2:55 tee time. Otherwise the prices ranged from $70+. Don't think it is worth that much.
Snail Pace
I must say I love playing a 5+ hour round of golf. Especially when a 4some is being held up by a 3some. Maybe I should’ve done what another 3some did and just took it upon ourselves to play through without asking. Played the first 9 holes in just under 2 hours and then showed up in 10 and a new 3some was on the tee box. This group was 3 groups ahead of us when we started our round and now they are 10 tee waiting. They played from the tips and 2 of the 3 should of been playing from the forward tees. No Marshall to be seen at any point of the round. Needless to say I will NOT be back.
Senior Golfer
The fairways and course itself was much greener than many of the courses in the area considering how little rain we have this winter. Played the south course at Innisbrook a week ago and this course was in much better shape except that the greens were rather slow and bumpy. I am a 16 handicap senior and our group chose to play the green tees (5800+) as opposed to the whites (6100+) and we agreed that we would have enjoyed the whites a lot more. The greens took the driver out of our hands on a lot of holes because the tee placement on that particular day required us to lay up with an alternate club in front of a waste area on a number of par 4's.. Very nice course though,
Tough but Fun
Extensive water obstacles and bunkers made for interesting but challenging day. Greens seemed a little rough and hard to read. We had a very nice day.
