About
Eaglebrooke, located in Lakeland -- halfway between Orlando and Tampa, is considered one of the premier golf courses in Florida. Its classic links-style design with over 100 feet of elevation change is unique in this part of the state. Natural lakes, abundant with wildlife, can come into play on eleven of the holes creating both spectacular scenery and challenging golf shots. To increase the challenge, there are six sets of tees on each hole. The "seniors" tees were customed designed for the course by architect Ron Garl. Garl requested Senior Golf Magazine to survey seniors for optimal playing preferences and then included these requests in the course design. The atmosphere is first class and the course features bag pick-up at your car. Eaglebrooke was the first course in the US to use Greg Norman's GN 1 grass, the fastest growing and greenest grass available.

For lower handicap players
This course is challenging. Lot's of water to navigate. I did see a gator along the edge of the pond. Greens were fast. Fairways good. Traps good. Friendly staff. Lost 6 balls but still had a good time. Definitely for the more serious players. A little pricey. I would play here again. Enjoyable day on the golf course.
Tough track
Very enjoyable round with Gerald and John from Ontario. We were round in under 4 hours. Course in good condition but we all found the greens difficult to read. Some very difficult pin positions. A few years since we played here but hopefully we will return. Great to see so much wildlife on the course.
Excellent course, but only worth about $70
Paid $100 to play at noon on the weekend, but thier normal rate was $125. I expected the course to be much better shape for that price. Overall the course has a great layout and the staff was extremely friendly.
Great track! Certainly worth a try!
What a cool layout. Every tee shot needs thought and management. It is pretty difficult so move up a tee box. It was in great shape. I drove 1.5 hours from Orlando and will certainly be back as my secret getaway course.

Greens are awesome And the bar is also fantastic with a great view of 18th hole Last two holes are the pride n joy of the course The only issue I see is some areas around the green are a bit bare however it's been super hot in Fla this yr Definitely a great course
Great condition
Challenging course but fair. Condition of fairways and greens were very good for winter. Clubhouse staff and restaurant were great. Definitely on the list now.
Best bang for the buck!!
Fantastic golf course, if this track was near Disney/Orlando it would cost you $150. Easily the best public course in the area. Thank you Club at Eaglebrooke for anonther great golf day!!!
Overall best course in Lakeland
Greens are consistent and medium speed even in winter..say 8 to 9. Over all condition is very good. Would like to see a more proactive starter and on course ranger as speed of play is a challenge during the busy season. Some different holes with blind shots so have GPS handy.

Great mid way point between Orlando and Tampa
Great course and layout. Challenging and interesting design. Greens were running fairly quick and held nicely. Get away from the Orlando courses and travel a little south against the traffic for a great experience. Nice practice area as well.

Played with two excellent, pleasant golfers which helped my game. This is a top course and I have played it for 15 years. Great and challenging course

I played green, hubby played red. Good choice, played well. Quiet at noon. Staff very friendly and informative. Good condition. Would and hope to play again
